Four Seasons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is proud to announce the opening of its Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Program. This dedicated unit is designed to meet the needs of those residents needing long term care or short term rehabilitation.

This program is based on the realization that it is necessary for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing population to have effective communication with their health care providers. Our residents will be receiving essential services in a dedicated environment that promotes dignity and wellness with a focus on quality of care. Special emphasis to enhance communication with other residents and staff will be provided through individuals trained in the use of sign language skills.

Some of the services available for this program are:

• Periodic and regular audiological screenings on
   Hearing aides: use and education

• Enriching cognitive and mobility skills by providing
   auxiliary aids and services

• Availability of interpreters to accompany residents
   on all health care and recreational trips

• TTY service and phone amplification

• Closed-captioned TV programming

• Audio and Visual fire alarm systems throughout
   thebuilding
